Comfort Inn Encinitas Near Legoland

They have figured out how to do a good job in an economy hotel. The towels are thick, the breakfast is hot, and the rooms are recently remodeled. They have group rates and late cancelation. What's not to like?

My fiancée and I would like to personally thank Crystal, the front desk professional at Comfort Inn, for going above and beyond to make our stay not only possible but genuinely enjoyable. We arrived very late at night, unsure if we would even be allowed to check in. Most hotels would have turned us away or told us to wait until morning. However, Crystal didn’t hesitate—she quickly took charge, cleared everything with her supervisors, and worked her magic to get us into a room. Her professionalism and quick thinking were truly impressive. What really stood out was her genuine care and attention. She even helped us secure a discount, and throughout our entire stay, she remained attentive, warm, and accommodating. Her exceptional level of service made all the difference, turning what could have been a stressful situation into a memorable and comforting experience. Thanks to Crystal, we now associate Comfort Inn with true hospitality. It’s clear they’ve hired top-tier staff who understand how to treat guests like family. My fiancée and I both agree: we would prefer to stay at Comfort Inn, with service like this, rather than a "fancier" place that lacks heart.

I would say the east side of bldg is most beneficial for protection from the hot sun out here and the freeway noise is minimal over here. I dont hear the freeway on this side. . Elevator!! Yes!! They have a functional elevator and carts here that really helps carry my things a lot !! Very QUIET & RESTFUL...FOR DAYSLEEPERS HERE TOO... Room has carpet in bed area and a couch next to the ice cold AC UNIT IS MUUUCH MUUCH APPRECIATED IN THIS HEAT WAVE THANKYOU!! ALSO, MOST IMPORTANTLY; IM SAVING $600 A WEEK BY COMING OVER HERE INSTEAD OF THE OTHER HOTEL PLACES... ID RELOCATE FOR SAVING $600 A MONTH; BUT THIS HOTEL SAVES ME $600 PER WEEK AND VERY GRATEFUL FOR THIS; AS having A FIXED INCOME PENSIONER travelling RETIREE.. ...EVERY DIME COUNTS when staying at hotels i always keep track of my expenditures ... I have *Much appreciation for this hotel and my pocketbook thanks you also!! Hotel is nice; they clean daily and grounds are kept clean and well maintained as well. GOD BLESS YOU ALL AND THANKYOU SO VERY MUCH FOR THIS ROOM, INDEED; THIS IS AN AMAZING HOTEL FIND... Room was great except for the shower itself. Like, it was recently renovated, but the renovation could have been better. The best part of the room was honestly the sound deadening of the outside. Our room faced the freeway and you couldn't hear anything unless is was right at the door. The complimentary breakfast was absolutely delicious. The pool - although a bit small - was kept clean as well. Being on the 3rd floor, have a great view of the ocean. Overall, the hotel was a great experience to my overall trip.

This hotel is neither amazing nor disappointing — very average in every way. The room was clean and included a small table, wardrobe, and a mini TV. Air conditioning worked fine. The bathroom was clean but had limited space. The breakfast was simple: coffee, bread, eggs, and a few spreads. The lobby staff were professional. It’s a decent option if you just want somewhere clean and quiet to rest for a night or two.

These negative reviews are non-sense. The rooms were completely renovated very recently and are immaculate inside. Our large family rented 4 rooms and they were all GREAT inside. The beds are very comfortable brand new Posture Pedic. The AC units work great. The staff was all very kind to each of us. I will say that the parking spots are very narrow, but in the back end of the parking area they are much larger and much less people park back there. The pool was in excellent shape. For the price, I HIGHLY recommend staying here. I know I will be next time I visit. Staff, please don't raise the prices like the neighboring properties so we cann afford to continue visiting.

Comfortable king-size bed and plentiful towels are the highlights of this stay. Also of note: a rather decent breakfast with 2-3 hot items; a waffle maker; cold cereal selection and bagels, toast/muffins and yogurt. It really started my day off nicely.

This place is a great value! Safe for a single woman traveling. I went thru a booking site and it was $193. For 2 nights. Very close to freeway so request the opposite side. I could not hear any freeway noise in the room. Clean, remodeled, comfortable bed. Don't hesitate to stay here! Side note, it is illegal to smoke outside in Encinitas now, except for in your car. Parking lot has low traffic and smokers were considerate to stay in the back and use trash litter instead of littering.
